THINKING OF ROBERT FROST
I have observed this farm and fence for 50 years now. My family bought a cabin on the Muskegon River in the early 1960s, just down the road from this farm. We spent weekends and summer vacations there, and it holds a sacred place in my heart and soul. The cabin was sold years ago, but on occasion I go back to that little valley to reminisce. When I took this photograph, it was a winter day when advection fog was rising from the snowy fields, lending a mysterious and contemplative air to the scene. In this photograph I melded art and memory into a graphic statement that I love.
