CRICKETS CHIRPING ON A LATE SUMMER EVENING
There is a brief time at sunset when I can carefully bring a hazy sun into my compositions with less fear of damaging my eyes. This was one of those times when a perfect foreground, in the form of aster flowers, appeared at just the right time. The combination of orange and blue is ethereal, and represents a moment in time when all the elements for a picture came together. It was late in the day and in autumn–the time I associate with the sound of crickets chirping.
