WHITETAIL IN FALLING SNOW
White-tailed Deer live near our house in Central Michigan, finding enough to eat to make it through the frigid winter. Sometimes we will ski out from the house and see melted impressions in the deep snow where deer had spent the night, snug and warm in a blanket of snow. My favorite time to photograph them is when fat snowflakes are lazily drifting down from a light gray sky, covering every branch with a tracery of white.
