RISING CLOUDS OVER NEW MEXICO
Painters and photographers have gravitated to the wonderful light of New Mexico for over a hundred years, creating work that has thrilled me for decades. Georgia O'Keefe was just one painter who called New Mexico home, and Ansel Adams created his most famous photograph there. I return to New Mexico repeatedly for the light, the cuisine, the architecture, and the cultural richness. And for the opportunity to take pictures I find immensely satisfying, such as this contrast of warm and cool colors of cloud layers at sunset.
