A FLEETING MOMENT

While traveling across Snoqualmie Pass and into the eastern foothills in January, clouds and fog and snow intermingled in endlessly changing compositions. For this photograph I loved the dark Douglas Firs suspended in winter whiteness.

I am drawn sometimes to black-and-white photography with simple compositions that speak to a zen-like state of mind, without the clutter and angst and cacophony of everyday life.
