BIRD ON A WIRE

Crows and Ravens have become some of my favorite subjects, and I never know when inspiration for a fresh composition will arise. In this case I was walking an alley in a small town where a couple of noisy American Crows had been winging their way back and forth across a street, but doing so for Crow reasons that I couldn’t discern. One Crow flew down briefly to one of the utility lines that are strung along the alley, and stayed just long enough for me to raise my camera and get one picture. I love the lines of the wires in contrast to the organic form of the Crow.
