INTO THE LIGHT

The spring of 2022 was a difficult time for my wife and I; caring for an older and ill family member is never easy. We would occasionally take a break from responsibilities to go for a hike. On this walk through an old stone-lined passage under a railroad grade, I paused for a moment and asked Karen to pose for a picture as she emerged into the light beyond the tunnel. It portrays a moment of hope in a time of despair.
