WINTER BONES
I spend the winters in a cold and snowy land, where there is joy in the clean, spare look of the landscape covered with a snowy patina. On the day of this photograph, there were blizzard-force winds picking up snow from the farm fields and sending them horizontally into the next county. This tree stood up magnificently to those winds, with the distance obscured by a haze of snow.
