BLOWING IN THE WIND
Without electricity or gas, the Amish dry their laundry year-round outdoors, using the the wind and the heat of the sun. On this day there was very little of the sun’s heat, but the wind was blowing strong while snowflakes were falling. Every Monday is laundry day for Amish women, but other days of the week may need to be used as well. I can only imagine the cold hands that the ladies get in winter from hanging all this wet laundry!
