FANTASY INSPIRED BY HENDRIX
When Microsoft co-creator/billionaire Paul Allen commissioned architect Frank Gehry to create a museum celebrating rock and roll, he apparently wanted the structure to be reminiscent of one of Jimi Hendrix’s smashed guitars. So, the building is a psychedelic mishmash of red, baby blue, and bronze colors that is best viewed when stoned (or so I’ve heard). At the same time, the EMP is a wonderful structure for a photographer to capture, with its curves and colors creating a visually arresting experience, different from every angle.
