OUR MAGNIFICENT PLANET

The Rockwall towers over Floe Lake, our objective at the end of a six-mile backpacking trip in the Canadian Rockies. On this hike we had snow, freezing rain, rain, clouds, and plenty of cold temperatures, but briefly on one morning the weather gave us a gift of warm morning light on the rocks and a stunning view of The Rockwall. I had never before backpacked to someplace so magnificent.
