BLUEBELLS-OF-SCOTLAND
On high rocky ridges of the Cascade Range, this beautiful bell-shaped flower with the enchanting name “Bluebells-of-Scotland” thrives. It usually has one or several flowers on thin stems that are tossed around in the wind. So, patience is my virtue as I wait for the wind to die down ever-so-briefly. For this kind of picture, I sprawl my 70+ year-old body down on the rocks, and photograph the flower with the gray, cloudy sky behind–a technique that emphasizes the details of the flower without a cluttered background.
