| WATER COLOR 2: Glacial green To take this photograph, I stood for as long as I could stand it in the numbingly-cold Lostine River, flowing from the heart of Oregon's Wallowa Mountains. This stretch of river blended the color of glacial silt carried by the water with the dappled pattern of sun and shade through overhead trees. With a long exposure, I used the stream's movement as a paintbrush, which blended the tones and added a brushstroke-like sense of movement to the "canvas." Lee Rentz |
