I was canoeing when I took this photograph, although what the photograph became in post-processing was something altogether different. To set the scene: these are Paper Birch reflections on a Michigan Lake, and the squiggly lines are from little waves distorting the tree trunk lines. So all that was there. Then I turned the reflections upside down and added a blend of cool colors to make the photograph into an entirely new work of art.
