Tugboats and commercial fishing vessels have a long and fascinating history on Puget Sound. The iconic Arthur Foss wooden-hulled tugboat was built in 1889 and served in the gold rush and through WWII, then hauled log rafts until its retirement in 1968. It is now a floating museum ship, docked on South Lake Union.
