It had been raining off and on all day. I was walking a trail looking for late autumn compositions among the big trees when, toward the end of the trail, I looked up at the edge of the forest and saw these Vine Maple leaves. The air was so still that the raindrops hadn’t shaken off the leaf tips, and I loved the look of the intricate leaves combined with the drops of rain. Very Zen.
