Common Eider (Somateria mollissima) 1st year male in winter plumage, far outside its normal range, chasing a gull (Larus sp.) that had just stolen and eaten a Dungeness Crab (Metacarcinus magister, formerly Cancer magister) that it had caught while diving, in the marina at Westport, a town located on a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and Grays Harbor, Washington State, USA
