Wildflower meadow
For centuries artists have taught us that we can view the world in individually fresh and new ways. As a photographer, I have taken this lesson to heart and find myself perpetually striving to create a fresh view of each subject I tackle. This wildflower meadow graced a park in California's foothills. Instead of trying to take the perfect portrait of an individual flower, I chose instead to create an impression of the meadow. The blue-violet lupines, magenta owl's clover, and green foliage blend with a thrilling sense of vibrancy. Blending harmony and chaos, the photograph captures a sense of beauty emerging from disorder. |
