Running out of gas in small town America 1

There was a time when most ghost towns were mining settlements. Most of those have either completely decayed or been revived by tourism, but now there is a whole new class of more recent ghost towns. In marginal agricultural areas, so many people have been forced off the farms that many towns have almost emptied of people. This gas station was in a tiny old farming town in Oregon. I suspect that the old gas pumps are now gone, purchased by collectors for renovation ... and another part of our past dies.

I hand color part of the gas pumps with red photographic dye.
