LAYERS 1: Beauty Everywhere

What a photographer brings to the scene is his or her unique perceptions. Each of us walks through the world and photographs different details and slices of time. Eventually photography becomes addictive as our vision grows through talent, time, and experience.

I encountered this colorful painted metal surface during an art show in Kirkland, Washington, when I was walking back to my van. I love patterns of paint and rust on metal, because they show the effects of time and human activity. In this case the wonderful canvas for color and abstraction was a big ... dumpster! Yes, beauty is everywhere, when we tune in to the frequencies of the world.
