LAYERS 2: Winter Remnants What a photographer brings to the scene is his or her unique perceptions. Each of us walks through the world and photographs different details and slices of time. Eventually photography becomes addictive as our vision grows through talent, time, and experience. This wall of blues and off-whites was the base of an old small town K-12 school that has been abandoned because of the forces of depopulation and school consolidation. Now the layers of old paint are peeling and milkweeds grow wild where tended grass used to host generations of children. Yet there is beauty to the austere scene, reminding us once again that the world is filled with beauty when our senses are alive to new possibilities.
