Misty Sun through White Pine Needles

The best nature photography reveals new ways of looking at the world, and in that sense, I consider this one of my most creative images. It was a hot, humid July afternoon in the Adirondacks; a thundershower had just crashed through the forest, and the sun was struggling to shine through the dissipating clouds. With a telephoto lens, I peered through an overhead white pine toward the pale emerging sun--and was astounded at the abstract image that greeted my eyes! To me, this photograph has the mystical appeal of some Asian art.

This is a limited edition photograph, printed on Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper, which is designed to last a lifetime. I use archival acid-free matboards: an outer board of a very light gray, and an inner board matching the muted green tones of the photograph.

**For this size I use a dark gray metal frame and Tru Vue Conservation Clear glass (though for this dark-toned photograph I highly recommend ordering the Tru Vue AR glass described below at an additional cost of $30). I can also frame this size just like the larger size, including an ebony-finish walnut frame, maple corners, and optically-coated Tru Vue AR (anti-reflection) glass for a total price of $295.
