Misty Sun through White Pine Needles
The best nature photography reveals new ways of looking at the world, and in that sense, I consider this one of my most creative images. It was a hot, humid July afternoon in the Adirondacks; a thundershower had just crashed through the forest, and the sun was struggling to shine through the dissipating clouds. With a telephoto lens, I peered through an overhead white pine toward the pale emerging sun--and was astounded at the abstract image that greeted my eyes! To me, this photograph has the mystical appeal of some Asian art. Lee Rentz |
