| HOMAGE TO MONET 2: The Fires of Autumn Through the seasons this pond has changed from ice two feet thick, to the dreary spring thaw, to the sudden splash of a Mink Frog in midsummer, to a family of otters cleaving the surface, to the lovely reflections of autumn. So many constantly altering realities and opportunities for an observant photographer. In this photograph the brilliant orange maple reflections are a wonderful contrast with the blues of the sky and water lily leaves. As I stood in my waders photographing the splendid light, I felt so fortunate to have the opportunity to share some of my most wonderful experiences with you. Through this picture I hope you can feel something of what I felt on that amazing Indian Summer afternoon. Lee Rentz |
