DREAMING OF SUMMER SUN
Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has long been a tourist destination; as one of the tourists, I love visiting this area to get a sense of history, as well as a wonderful time spent along the Great Lakes and walking in the vast forest. I also enjoy visiting in winter, when few people are around. For this picture I found a group of small tourist cabins, perhaps from the early era of tourism in the 1940s. Each cabin was charming in its simple architecture, and I could envision how it changed from a lonely place to a scene filled with the joyous shouts of children getting ready for a day at the beach.
