SNOW FALLING ON A WINTER MORNING
At our seasonal home in mid-Michigan, snow is often the key element of my photography, and I love the pure white flakes and expanses for their graphic element. In this photograph, taken about 100 yards from our house, the large flakes are falling steadily and accumulating on the oak and maple branches in the distance. I used a flash to illuminate the snowflakes in the foreground, creating the wonderful bubbling pattern of white disks against the gray forest background.
