WINTER GROVE
While driving through Michigan during a snowstorm, I spotted these rows of Black Walnut trees that an enterprising farmer had planted years ago, perhaps for the delicious nuts and perhaps for the valuable wood. I stopped by the roadside and photographed the grove in heavily falling snow. I like how the photograph captures the human sense of order combined with the natural sense of randomness in the snowflakes.
