FUTURAMA
The iconic Seattle Monorail emerging from the fanciful EMP Building. The monorail was built as a vision of the future for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, at the same time as the Space Needle. Several decades later, architect Frank Gehry designed this iconic museum to house a rock-and-roll museum. I've heard that the idea for the museum's shape came from a Gehry interpretation of a guitar smashed by Jimi Hendrix.
