THE GREAT GALLERY
Horseshoe Canyon is a magical place of wild burros and spirits of long ago. It is about an eight-mile hike round trip, that descends into a sandstone canyon lined with cottonwoods.
After stopping to see several pictograph panels, we came to this heart-stopping scene of giant, 8’ tall pictographs of stylized human figures Created by people centuries ago, these figures are as mysterious as anything I have ever seen. Their meaning lies buried in time, beyond our understanding.
