CHAOS AND ENERGY

It was one of those days when the clouds skittered across the sky, shoved by strong winds. When I reached Bridal Veil Falls along a side trail during a spring hike to Lake Serene, the waterfall was anything but serene. Cascades of spring meltwater tumbled thunderously down the cliff, while the fierce winds blew the spray sideways. Beams of sunlight penetrated the spray like arrows (look on the left side of the photograph). It was an insight into the powers of nature to inspire me.
