CORONA AND RISING MOON

It was another cold October night in The Enchantments, but the night was so enchanting that I just had to stay up and see what I could capture with my camera. In this case, the full moon had just risen over the distant ridge, and clouds were scudding by in the high winds. It was cold enough that the clouds consisted of ice crystals, and these crystals refracted and reflected the light of the moon to create this colorful corona cloudscape. It was mysterious and ever-changing.
