A REFINED ARCHITECTURE

While driving past Billings, Montana, at early twilight, we came upon this oil refinery lit up by lights and the setting sun, its steel parts bright and shiny. This refinery helps produce some of the very gas we were consuming on this trip, so we were thankful. I also loved the intricate engineering and architecture of this industrial site, which is built entirely without aesthetics in mind, but which has become a work of art itself in its raw power.
