We began feeding Anna’s Hummingbirds this year, and I’m watching one visiting our feeder as I write this on a frosty October morning. I have taken hundreds of pictures of this young male over the summer and early fall, and this one was my favorite because of the brightness of the iridescent feathers. Can you imagine the sadness of a world without birds?
