ENCYCLOPEDIA

Old books hold a special beauty for me. These old Encyclopedia Britannicas, part of the 11th Edition (first published in 1911), summed up the best human knowledge of their time, and did it with elegant leather bindings and immaculately researched and written entries about every subject deemed important. I decided to print this photograph in black and white, to enhance the historic feel of these wonderful volumes.

LIMITED EDITION: This photographic print is part of a limited edition produced by photographer Lee Rentz. The edition consists of 250 prints, which includes all sizes and methods of printing.
