LEAVING THE CAFE
After leaving a tip on the red formica table, I suddenly had a vision for a photograph based upon the comings and goings of customers while we ate our lunch. Most of the people entering the cafe were local families, out for a bite to eat after church. Every time the door opened, sunlight poured in, illuminating a wedge of darkness. I thought it would make a great picture illustrating the effect, so I asked Karen to walk in and out of the door a couple of times while I took pictures. I love the light pouring in to light the mystery of the dark interior.
